The Activist Guide books are written by Cheryl Antier, a former VISTA leader who served three terms of service. Antier was responsible for 14 VISTA volunteers, and provided them with the tools, resources and training they needed to create successful and sustainable projects all across the state of Utah. Her own project - a teen volunteer project, composed of teens in two rural counties, won the Govenor's Silver Bowl Award for volunteer excellence in it's first year.
