At the college where there were Druids and Kelts, engraved into the arch are the meanings know thyself. Just in case you are wondering that college was supposedly Oxford which considered too be one the best colleges in the world today. It is not uncommon though for unlearned about lore by occultists and those interested to be engraved into buildings, arches, to be placed as boss statues on buildings at American city locations and the be closer to many different related subjects as statues, etc. I have seen alchemical symbols engraved into college chemistry classes building, gargoyles on Trivoli theatre, Kansas City, Missouri, at Country Club Plaza [acronymic also as C.C.s Plaza], statues looking like the Greek goddess Aphrodite at Country Club Plaza, a statue carved too look like the Greek god Poseidon. The engravings [and there were more than one at the same college chemistry building location] are centered and up above the entrance and I imagine essentially the same when I imagine what know thyself looks like on a foreign country. Surely I cannot imagine know thyself is engraved, looks and is positioned differently at Oxford into that arch. My experience would not allow that with, in and from my subconscious mind. Aleister Crowley clearly intended the magical diary [modern record kept in pencil, or ink] for a record too prepare you for what is next from your record. The only real temple too me is the subconscious mind. Every record you record, in a diary, notepad, draft emails, computer files, etc, should be as complete and honest as possible. Our experience relies and depends upon our perceptions which are concentrated [concentrating and simultaneously perceiving as if the perceptions are like water coming together to form a water drop] and have linked together too experience our experience according too learning first, emotion second, concentration and perceptions third [happens next while growing up], understanding fourth and the whole conscious mind fifth. Those are also the processes we go through after having grown up, meaning after having been forced too be mature. Our reason forces us to act and, or react, younger than that our emotions and, or feelings do make us act, or react, eventually we can act, or react from various experiences such as concentrating, or just understanding, or both and eventually also we can recreate conditions with feeling, emotion, the conscious mind, activities and environment too cause what we want too happen such as a bioluminescence. We can also recreate our intensified feelings, emotions, internal processes and simultaneous personality types by remembering and recording the methods, conditions, details, for those too happen again. The same can also happen for our practical living too get a job, to work, to live financially, or better, or better anyways no matter what. Those are just some the reasons for keeping records and for understanding thy self and I shall add thy true self which you really are and not just control unlike the self. The previous information generally from front to finish should give you an exact idea why the personal work should be kept, personal work is every record, more like a diary anyways.
