Revelation is not to be taken literally, as it was a vision seen in the same manner as Daniel's visions were - what the Jewish call hidden (or sod - pronounced sood). This means one really has to study and dig deep into the hidden meanings behind the Jewish words. Revelation is a thoroughly Jewish book and further investigation has revealed that it was originally written in Hebrew. "The Last Shofar" not only delves deep into the Jewishness of Revelation, it gives new interpretations of the chapters. You will not find anything like this book on the market today, and I'm sure it will encourage those 'Revelation buffs' to go back and take a new look at many of the things they always believed. In this dramatization of Yochanan writing Revelation, I tried to show how Yochanan saw it as he wrote it - from his own Jewish perspective, including his (possible) thoughts as a Jewish man. There are many things in Revelation that are unique in that they are definitely Jewish in nature - Revelation is full of Jewish idioms and phrases that we could miss if we stay in our 'Greek' minds. I believe "The Last Shofar" will give new insight into many passages that most believers have always wondered about. It is also my hope and prayer that this version of Revelation through Yochanan's Jewish eyes will hopefully help you begin to see what we have been missing for far too long - separated from our Jewish roots and our Jewish heritage - the Jewishness of the entire Bible!
